Scholarship & Recognition Pageant

The Miss Teen of America Pageant was founded in 1983 by the late Mr. Warren Alexander, a former educator and pageant director. Designed to help America’s youth reach their full potential, this scholastically based pageant recognizes young women ages 13-18 for their outstanding personal achievements, leadership abilities, and artistic, creative or athletic talents.

Cornelia Hayes

Miss teen of America 2015

“Cornelia Hayes of Le Grand, Iowa was crowned Miss Teen of America on March 14, 2015 in Minneapolis, MN. She is the first representative from Iowa to win the National Title. Cornelia is a senior ranking second in her class with a GPA of 3.97 at East Marshall High School. She is a two year All-State Speech performer and is also involved in Student Council, Choir, Band and Theater. Committed to service, Cornelia is an avid volunteer in her school, church and community. Cornelia will spend her year as Miss Teen of America traveling around the country, serving as a positive role model to our nation’s youth and representing Special Olympics, which is the Pageant’s National Charity.”
